This is a choir, singing for the English Congregation at the Sacrament Church in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Choir has around 20 voluntary singers and musicians from all over the world.
We mostly sing during the English masses, arranged and celebrated by Father Theva.
The Sacchoir int´l is led by Alexander Vergara and was formed in the beginning of 2000, and mainly consists of voluntary vocal singers from the English community at the Sacrament church.
The Sacchoir int´l takes advantage of using various ways of singing harmonies and cannons.
The Sacchoir int´l enjoys singing a variety of music styles and our leaders are open to requests.
Our English songbook has a variety of ordinary psalms, Old and New “Praise and Worship” in which we enjoying of making our very own harmonies.
In many years the English community at the Sacrament Church enjoyed having some few “on and off” Choir periods.
At the end of 1999 Juliet Sales, our Congregation leader, Father Carroll Parker and Alexander Vergara agreed on creating a permanent choir and some weeks after, the Sacrament Church Choir was created and established with only 5 members.
Great members as Marie and Benedicte showed their enjoyment and affection in singing songs in different harmonies, and Devina with her strong voice, was a part of the choir longer than most of the members.
Some soloists showed up once in a while, like Melinda with her great soprano voice and Lykke Pfeiffer who is an artist in the amateur musical group, Gorgerne, and not to forget Eva who attends yearly with her beautiful Voice singing Gregorian chants with the choir during Easter!.
The Sacchoir int´l has since expanded and today we are around 20 vocalists and musicians.
